Apoquel Original Tablets 16mg (Oclacitinib) is the number one prescribed medicine for fast, effective relief of allergic itch and inflammation due to atopic and allergic dermatitis in dogs. It acts directly on the pathways responsible for the itch cycle, offering your dog targeted relief without the common side effects associated with standard steroid treatments. These film-coated tablets can be conveniently given with or without food.

Please note, this is a restricted veterinary medicine in New Zealand (ACVM Registration No. A010963). This is the Original Film-Coated Tablet version, which is distinct from the pork-flavoured Apoquel Chewable tablets. Ensure your veterinary prescription matches this formulation. This product is priced and sold per single tablet.

 

Common use

Apoquel Original Tablets for dogs are commonly used for:

  • Control of pruritus (itching) associated with allergic dermatitis (such as food allergies, flea allergy dermatitis, or contact allergies)
  • Control and long-term management of clinical manifestations of atopic dermatitis

 

Dosage & administration

  • Administer orally twice daily for the first 14 days of therapy, and once daily thereafter for ongoing maintenance, or exactly as directed by your vet.

  • Store safely below 25°C. This product is sold per single tablet—please adjust the quantity selector to match your prescription before adding to cart.

Repeat prescriptions

If your prescription includes repeats, we’ll keep it on file for future orders, but we need to receive the original within 7 days of the date written on it unless we received it directly from the vet. You do not need to send a new copy each time unless it has expired or you have no repeats. You can reorder through your My Vet account dashboard.

MyVet is a great way to purchase prescription medicines for my dog. The price is a lot more affordable than getting it from the vet, although you still need the vet appointment and script charge. I gave only 4 stars not due to MyVet (you are great!) but the fact my dog now can't seem to function without Apoquel everyday, which I was not aware of when my previous vet suggested it about 5 years ago. I give my dog 8mg per day, so half a tablet to keep the itch down. Somedays she needs a full tablet but mostly half will do her. So I don't exactly love the Apoquel, but it has become a necessity that I need to find the most affordable way to purchase, and MyVet is it so far 😊
