Advantage is a once a month topical flea treatment for cats and kittens 2 weeks or older. This product kills 98-100% of the fleas on cats within 12 hours.

Ingredients: 100 g/L Imidacloprid

Directions: Place the applicator tip through the animals hair to the skin level. On cats, apply to skin on neck at the base of the skull. Do not get this product in the pets eyes or mouth.

Side Effects: Individual sensitivities, while rare, may occur after using any pesticide product for pets. If signs persist, or become more severe, consult a veterinarian immediately.

Cautions: This product is for external use on cats . Consult a veterinarian before using on medicated animals, animals using this product with other pesticides, and debilitated or aged animals. Advantage is safe for use on pregnant and lactating animals. This product causes eye irritation in humans and is harmful if swallowed. Avoid contact with skin. Call poison information center if swallowed. If on skin, wash with plenty of soap and water. If in eyes, flush with plenty of water.

The active ingredient imidacloprid works to kill fleas via contact, which means the flea does not have to bite to be affected. It is safe to use on kittens from 8 weeks old.
